Assessment of water resources for water irrigation purposes in Bintan island

Abstract The raw water for irrigation must meet the minimum requirements of class IV quality. This study aims at presenting a quality assessment several sources in Bintan Island purposes. methods used are Standardized Precipitation Index, Pollution and Sodium Adsorption Ratio. A climate analysis showed that potential high risk flood was 16 events 22 years, severe-to-extreme dry soil moisture streamflow were 8 to 10 with durations every event varying from 1 6 months.
